There is almost no inbound medical tourism. Healthcare is fairly basic. Most healthcare provision is in public hospitals, but there are an increasing number of private hospitals and clinics. There is a shortage of doctors, nurses and equipment. The country’s healthcare network is in need of modernisation, new investment and improvements in organisation and administration. Services in rural and remote areas are poor.
