According to 2019 EU reports, the number of medical tourists (ONLY those under the EU Cross-Border Healthcare rules) was 146,054 in 2016 and 130,700 in 2017. Adding private patients, dental care and cosmetic surgery could bring the total to 200,000, but there are no actual figures.
