20% of UAE tourists to Thailand seek treatment

Eight Thai companies specialising in medical tourism and wellness joined the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and 80 general travel agents in a roadshow to promote Thailand as a medical travel destination to Kuwait and Dubai. TAT says that the UAE is a key market source for medical travellers to Thailand and hope to increase health and wellness tourism by 5% by Q4 2019.

According to TTN, the Thai companies included Phyathai 2 Hospital, APEX Medical Center, Absolute Health Clinic, Sukumvit Hospital, Verita Life, The Spa Samui, Dr.Saran Clinic and FEMTO Research Group.
