AirAsia offers end-to-end medical services

As part of the launch, AirAsia Health is offering bookings for COVID-19 PCR tests on its platform, provided by its medical partners from Lifecare Diagnostic Medical Centre and Sunway Medical Centre in Malaysia.

AirAsia Health is partnering with medical providers and hospitals to offer a complete range of services, from professional consultations to booking treatments such as health screenings, aesthetics, wellness and fertility sessions.

The platform also provides access to on-ground logistics services, including flights, accommodation and support services such as medical visas.

Karen Chan, CEO, AirAsia.com has said: “From the initial consultation to post-treatment services, we aim to make it as seamless as possible for everyone through the AirAsia Health online platform. AirAsia Health is where healthcare meets travel, complemented by the strength of AirAsia.com’s ecosystem encompassing travel logistics such as flights, accommodation and mobility options, enhancing the convenience factor for any medical traveller’s end-to-end journey.”

AirAsia is transforming itself from a budget carrier to a digital lifestyle company, tapping into new business verticals, and reigniting travel via a digitised and sanitised passenger experience. The airline’s new vision spans across three main pillars: travel, e-commerce and fintech. On travel, AirAsia’s aim is to become one of the leading travel agents in Asia through its diverse offering, which includes flights, hotels, activities, deals, ancillary products, and its flight and hotel booking platform. It has signed up 500 hotels.

AirAsia Health provides medical charter flight services for patients and medical tourism. AirAsia.com is now offering an end-to-end online transaction from initial consultation all the way to booking the hotel and flight, having a personal concierge with the right language during transition to hospital.
