Annabel Croft to host tennis and yoga retreat in Portugal's Algarve

Portugal's luxury family resort, Pine Cliffs Resort, has teamed up with former British No. 1 tennis star Annabel Croft and one of the UK's top yoga coaches, Jo Arthur, to create a unique tennis and yoga retreat.

Taking place at the Algarve resort's Annabel Croft Tennis Academy from 8 – 11 October 2015, the weekend will give guests the chance to perfect their yoga positions and hone their tennis skills in sessions personally coached by Annabel.

Well known as one of the best ways to improve core strength and flexibility, the ancient art of yoga is the perfect accompaniment for tennis - Andy Murray has even credited Bikram yoga for his improved physical and mental performance.

The new retreat will enable guests to experience the benefits of combining practising yoga and playing tennis, with Annabel personally coaching lessons and taking part in informal matches and Jo teaching two yoga classes per day.

The retreat is open to men and women and costs include accommodation at the five-star Sheraton Algarve Hotel at Pine Cliffs Resort; a half board wellness menu; resort transfers from Faro airport and access to the Pine Cliffs Goes Active health and fitness club.

Pine Cliffs Resort overlooks the cliffs and beaches of Albufeira, on the Algarve Coast in Portugal. It includes the Annabel Croft Tennis Academy, which features five floodlit tennis courts - two clay and three all-weather hard courts –ideal for day or night time play, and a team of qualified coaches who are available year-round to provide coaching courses and clinics for players of all ages and abilities.

It also offers a golf course, swimming pools and water sports; 12 restaurants and bars; a health club and wellness Centre. The lifestyle resort is managed by Starwood Hotels' Luxury Collection brand.
