Bupa’s Sanitas buys major IVF specialist in Spain

The deal will significantly expand Sanitas’ presence in the Iberian healthcare market. Ginemed is one of Spain’s main players in the IVF sector, with 18 clinics across Spain and Portugal.

Under the deal, the clinics will join the Sanitas Hospitales’ network, which currently comprises four hospitals and a network of 20 medical clinics throughout the country.

Jesús Bonilla, general manager of Sanitas Hospitals said: 'We are delighted to welcome Ginemed to the Sanitas family. We share the same principles of quality healthcare, scientific rigor and focus on customers.'
