Case study on Indian medical travel agency

 

Ivey Business School, University of London, Canada, a leading MBA business school, has published a case study on an Indian medical travel agency.

The short 11-page case study "Vaidam Health: facilitating medical-value travel" from Ivey Publishing and written by Professor Arapuma Pasher is available from The Case Centre.

The case study says that Indian medical travel agency Vaidam Health was set up in January 2016 and takes foreign patients from many countries to India.

Based in Gurugram, Vaidam Health raised angel funding in 2016 from Singapore-based 4CE Ventures. It has been certified to ISO 9001 and 27001 standards as a web-based medical tourism agency. It is also India’s first online platform for medical tourists to get accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH).

Pankaj Chandna, co-founder, Vaidam Health: "This case study is a vindication of our business model and future growth potential, considering that we started our operations hardly three years ago. India’s medical tourism market is still largely unstructured, consisting of hundreds of small to medium-sized medical tourism agencies."
