Cebu’s first 4-star hotel and wellness centre

New Maayo Hotel boasts state-of-the-art integrative medicine and aesthetic services. Alongside the new Mactan-Cebu International Airport, it is hoped Philippines inbound wellness and medical tourism will grow.

Maayo Hotel in Mandue City, Cebu, is a new four-star hotel and wellness centre with state-of-the-art integrative medicine and aesthetic services. Close to the Mactan-Cebu International Airport, Maayo Hotel is near Mactan Island’s beaches, Cebu’s metropolis, shopping destinations, and entertainment hubs. Local developer Primary Group built and owns it.

Maayo Hotel has 229 guest rooms, function rooms, three restaurants, a gym and spa, an infinity pool with city views, an outdoor jogging trail, and a space for yoga. The adjacent Maayo Well houses modern outpatient clinics for wellness and aesthetic services, performed by locally and internationally trained nurses and doctors. There is a range of wellness and health check services plus offerings on liver wellness, nutrition education, diabetes care, an oncology unit, haemodialysis, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, ophthalmology, orthodontics, prosthetics, physical rehabilitation and movement wellness.

Terminal 2 of the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) Philippines has also now opened. The new terminal is designed for international flights, while the older Terminal 1 will handle domestic flights. It is home to 26 airlines flying to 30 domestic destinations and 25 international destinations.

Cebu officials predict passenger capacity in the airport will more than double from 4.5 million passengers a year to 12.2 million passengers a year. With this, tourism in the city is hoped to be boosted, and the anticipated influx of travellers will require new hotels and new services.
