Croatia could take 25% of Hungarian dental tourism market, says IMTJ

Mr Pollard gave the interview to Total Croatia News while at the recent 2018 Crikvenica International Health Tourism Conference (CIHT) in Croatia, where he was recognised by the Kvarner Health Cluster as an ambassador for CIHT.  During the conference, he gave a presentation on 'Developing a Medical Travel Strategy for a Hospital or Clinic'.

In the article, he says that Croatia could learn from the way Hungary developed its successful dental tourism business. He recognises that Croatia has some entrepreneurs coming through in the medical tourism sector who 'have a sensible marketing [plan], a business brain, and they see the opportunity' and highlights the Bagatin Clinic group as a prime example.  On an international scale, Mr Pollard picks out Malaysia as an excellent case study for anyone in the medical tourism sector. 'Everyone thinks they can do medical tourism, but if you’re looking for one place to learn from, study Malaysia' he says, ‘they have put real investment into the [medical tourism] process, and you can see it is working'.

Total Croatia News described IMTJ as 'the most influential media in the health tourism industry'.
