Medico Hospital in Rijeka is the first hospital in Croatia to complete the AACI (American Accreditation Commission International) accreditation programme.

By earning accreditation, Medico Hospital has demonstrated it meets or exceeds patient safety standards and ISO 9001 standards.

Nevenka Kovač of Medico hospital says: “The ability to integrate ISO 9001 quality standards with our clinical and financial processes is a major step forward. We liked AACI’s accreditation program because not only are they here every year, they use ISO 9001. People understand that ISO 9001 is the internationally recognized standard for quality management of businesses. It applies to the processes that surround the delivery of a service to ensure that the needs and expectations of customers are met. Being accredited is just the beginning.”

Specialty Hospital Medico is in the picturesque Croatian port city of Rijeka and is the only private hospital in Croatia offering fully integrated diagnostics and minimally invasive surgical procedures.
