Junomedical certified by Temos

Berlin-based start-up Junomedical has passed the Temos certification for agencies.

Berlin-based start-up Junomedical, a medical travel agency that connects patients with hospitals around the world, has passed the Temos certification for agencies. The international medical travel platform received the certificate and quality seal of “Quality in International Medical Travel Coordination”.

Junomedical has been certified for providing patients with transparent information on medical treatment, hospitals and doctors worldwide, assuring strict data protection according to EU/German legislation, and offering assistance throughout the entire treatment journey of the patient.

Dr. Sophie Chung, founder and CEO of Junomedical says, “One of our biggest challenges is gaining patients’ trust in the medical tourism market, which is still not very transparent. We have worked hard to create this digital platform to accelerate access to high-quality medical treatments, regardless of a patient’s location or level of income. Our aim is to give patients the highest quality service out there, at no cost. We’re putting patients first.”

Junomedical’s proprietary hospital scoring system objectively assesses hospitals to ensure the highest standards in quality, and evaluates 80 different quality criteria. Only those hospitals that achieve a certain threshold across all criteria get shortlisted. The scoring algorithm evaluates the hospital in terms of accreditations, certifications, doctoral memberships, transparency, internationality, openness to medical tourism and internal and external reviews.

Junomedical currently works with 50 hospitals in 10 countries. Founded in 2015 by Dr. Sophie Chung, it is a medical travel agency that helps patients worldwide find high-quality care at an affordable price. The company is based in Berlin, Germany.
