Medical Tourism Hub for India

The state government of Hyderabad is planning to launch Medical Tourism Hub (MT-Hub) to increase the numbers of medical tourists.

An estimated 10,000 foreigners go to Hyderabad for medical treatment every year. The state target is 100,000 in the next five years.

The proposed MT-Hub will coordinate with related industries enabling the smooth stay of foreigners in Hyderabad. A patient who has an operation needs post operative treatment including physiotherapy. But they cannot stay in hospital for these simple treatments. The MT-Hub will provide postoperative care, and publicise treatment available in Hyderabad.

Patients from African and South East Asian countries go to Hyderabad for joint replacement, eye care and cancer treatment.
