Private hospital acquisition in Columbia

It has signed an agreement to acquire Centro Médico Imbanaco (CMI) in Cali, the biggest city in southwestern Colombia, for €300m (US$336m).

CMI offers a comprehensive range of medical specialties and services. The hospital has about 350 beds, 17 operating rooms and 250 consultation rooms, and generated sales of €130m in 2018.

In September it bought Clínica Las Vegas and Clínica del Prado in Medellín and in November, it acquired diagnostics group CediMed for €40m.

The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2020, pending anti-trust clearance.
