Quality and service – not low prices

Russians are adopting new habits and practices when it comes to medical tourism.

Russian medical tourists are still seeking higher quality healthcare and more technologically advanced services but they have started to change their behaviour. Instead of using agencies, they are directly contacting clinics. Where they go is also changing.

According to a 2016 industry report on Russian medical tourism on Russia and other CIS countries:

  • 10% seek cheaper price
  • 42% seek high tech or specialist treatment
  • 15% seek emergency help
  • 33% seek higher quality service
