Spa month targets international travellers to Bermuda

The BTA’s plans include:

  • Bermuda Staycation Month. This month, residents are invited to take a relaxing break and experience their favourite hotels. Whether a mid-week getaway or a weekend retreat, with or without the family, 10 participating hotels island-wide are offering locals-only rates
  • Spa Month (November). Mirroring the BTA’s popular annual February promotion, this will bring back special deals for visitors and locals at the island’s spas.

The aim is to show the local community and the world that Bermuda is capable of creating and executing meaningful experiences in a safe environment.

These promotions, including staycations, will aim to stimulate spending, push up hotel occupancy levels, and help get people back to work.

The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has designated Bermuda a Safe Travels destination, under a programme that recognises governments, destinations and companies around the world that have adopted health and hygiene standards that meet protocols recommended by the World Health Organisation and the Centres for Disease Control. Under the programme, the WTTC allows the BTA to issue the Safe Travels stamp to local businesses that meet the highest COVID-19 public-health standards

The BTA will use the endorsement and designation in its overseas marketing to consumers ready to travel again.

Entry Requirements include:

  • Obtaining a certified negative PCR COVID-19 test within 72 hours of departure
  • Health insurance
