The Turks and Caicos Islands have published updated travel requirements after reopening to tourism.
Travellers to the island are required to take a COVID-19 PCR test within five days of travel.
All visitors must have medical or travel insurance that covers medical evacuation. The TCI Assured portal lists the insurance companies providing this insurance. Medical evacuation is often needed, due to inadequate local healthcare. All forms must be completed and uploaded to the TCI Assured portal, in advance of arrival.

In addition, in collaboration with the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA), the Turks and Caicos Islands have launched a Tourism Health and Safety Initiative, which includes a programme to ensure the health and safety of tourists, recognising the tourist sector’s importance to the economy.
Turks and Caicos’ ultra-luxury Amanyara health resort has now reopened, with new health and safety protocols. Each facility of the spa is open to one guest or couple at a time, with a 45-minute minimum turnover between spa rooms to allow for thorough cleaning of each treatment room.
The largest family all-inclusive Beaches Resort and Spa will be reopening its doors on October 14. A key priority is to ensure it gets enough guest bookings so that the airline carriers will be convinced to recommence their schedules. The resort is reassuring future guests that their operations, upon their reopening, will be of the highest standard under their Beaches Platinum Protocols of Cleanliness, designed to ensure the strictest health and safety measures.
To encourage tourists back to the Turks and Caicos, local businesses expect that it will require many millions of dollars in marketing, extensive coordination with the large numbers of travel agents, tour operators and airline partners throughout the United States, Canada, Latin America, the UK and Europe, plus work on safety.
Turks and Caicos Islands Tourism promotes spa and wellness tourism at 31 spa and wellness locations.
Investment promotion agency, Invest Turks and Caicos offers a range of incentives to domestic and foreign investment in medical and health tourism projects.
The Turks and Caicos Islands welcomed 1,598,557 visitors in 2019, which broke down into 486,739 stopovers and 1,111,818 cruise visitors.
