Medical tourism promotion
The Economic Development and Commerce department of Puerto Rico promotes it as a medical tourism destination, especially among the Hispanic population of the Caribbean and the U.S. East Coast, the main target for medical care including dental treatment, liposuction and weight-loss surgery at prices far lower than in the USA.
